In the course of the last 50 years Surface Enhance Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) has pushed the envelope for Raman Scattering based measurements. By utilizing physical and quantum chemical interactions between molecules of interest and diligently prepared nanoparticle set-ups (so called substrates) a variety of experimental set-ups have been investigated. In real life situations enhancement factors of SERS based Raman versus pure Raman measurements in the order of one thousand and more have been reached. Meanwhile, there exists a vivid ecosystem of various substrate types for an increasing number of real-world problem-solving applications. This Whitepaper describes a recent class of SERS substrates which we have developed in our labs and named Nano=Kraft.
